Carbon-wrapped Cylinders

are the lightest SCBA air cylinders ever developed by MSA. They feature a unique outerwrap made of lightweight, high-performance carbon fibers, which reduces cylinder weight by two to six pounds when compared to fiberglass-wrapped cylinders and as much as ten pounds when compared to aluminum cylinders. Breathing Cascade

The standard system is six (6) 6000 psi/UN approved, 510 cu.ft. cylinders. Each tank is to be equipped with a new, softseat valve, complete with appropriate approved safety relief device. For one end of the system is to be provided a nut & nipple, an elbow and a 6000 psi 8-inch flexible hose to connect from the compressor and for the other end is to be provided a tee, a 2-1/2 inch 10,000 psi line gauge and the filler hose.
